I had long ago decided that a Mitsubishi mini-split was the quality solution I was after. I wanted a highly rated Mitsubishi certified company to do the installation and long-term maintenance. First company I called blew me off because I wanted the unit installed in my tiny home. After calling Fusion, I knew I was now in good hands. From start to finish, everyone treated me -- and my project -- as if we were the most important project they had ever done. First, Ross set me up with the person he thought best to guide me. Frank took over and helped me tailor the placement of the unit and the supplemental electrical work to meet my specific requirements and to meet code. Next, Shawn and Jamie (the CRAFTSMEN) joined the party and went far and beyond the call of duty to make sure the installation was rock solid and would operate optimally for this special space. March 22, 2024: We had an issue with our AC and decided to research the best HVAC companies in Hampton Roads, VA. We called quite a few places and the rates were between $49.00 and $85.00 for an estimate. Of course $49.00 peaked our interest BUT that particular company did not show interest and the woman was very nonchalant. Yes, we care about the rate and didn’t want to be taken advantage of, however, we were more concerned about customer service. We decided to go with Fusion because everyone was very kind, informative, and were interested in not only our business but making sure that we were comfortable in our home. We were told that Mr. Vincent Cardillo would be able to visit our home and assess our system between 2pm and 4pm on the same day…he called us at 3:20pm and shared that he was on his way! Vincent was professional, thorough, kind, has a great sense of humor, and personable. Vincent listened, answered our questions, clearly explained his process, and respectfully discussed with us what we needed to do to maintain our system. Our system was repaired at a reasonable rate and expeditiously (same day service). We believe that Vincent holds his expertise at a high standard and with integrity. It’s great when you find good companies and good people. Fusion is a great example of the importance of being flexible, consistent, attentive, professional, and honest. I live in Chesapeake, and Fusion recently replaced my aging AC & natural gas furnace with 2 heat pumps. Very happy with work.Shawn, Zach and Tim worked at my house for about 4 days. They laid down plastic to avoid tracking dirt in, and knocked on my door at about 8:30 each morning to ask permission to begin working.Shawn upgraded us to a 200 amp panel. He was polite, pleasant, and professional. The guys then set up the 2 outdoor compressor units on the north side of my house. I appreciated how they relocated the outdoor unit, which was previously close to my deck, to the north side away from my deck.Both central and mini split are variable speed units with side discharge. Very quiet. Very efficient. 12 year warranty at the top of the scale. And the central unit can maintain 100% heat output down to -5 F. No electrical strip required.I was also happy that the mini split Shawn, Zach and Tim installed was a ceiling unit. All the other contractors I spoke with offered wall units, and I liked that Fusion offers a ceiling unit.They replaced my 30 year old duct work. Shawn also did a neat job attaching the 16" return duct to the rectangular inlet. I was very happy he came up with this because it avoided having to cut my ceiling. Hopefully the pictures convey how neat it is.Shawn also picked up an extra air filter for us, which I thought was a nice gesture.I'm quite happy. I chose Fusion after talking with 9 contractors and dozens of hours of research. Here are some of their selling points:a) HVAC, insulation, electrical, Dominion rebate program - all in one. Rare to find that combination in one contractor.b) Mitsubishi Diamond Dealer - Enables them to offer a 12 year warranty. It seems 10 is typical. I view Mitsubishi as one of the good quality brands in heat pump manufacturers.c) Innovative - They came up with a few ideas that I adopted because they were just good ideas.d) Professional - They kept me informed about the schedule for the job, respected our house while working, and took time to answer all the questions I had.e) Thorough - I talked to some places who would put a 4 ton unit on a 3 ton refrigerant line, or be satisfied with kinks in the ducts. I felt Fusion's MO was to do it right.f) Assistance with incentives - Fusion worked with me to try to capture the max federal tax credits in both 2023 & 2024. They also provided the $500 blower test required by Dominion for Rebates for free.g) Results - Hopefully the pictures show that Fusion did neat work in every respect. Whether it be the white track up the exterior of my house, the way they set up the outdoor units, or the caulk on the mini split vent, everything they did is neat and tidy.I like that.read more

Fusion flawlessly installed a ceiling mounted mini split in our third floor master bedroom. We were blown away by how perfect it ended up looking. The unit literally looks like the house was built around it. There was major leaking around my water heater and it was getting worse every time I ran the AC, so I called Fusion to schedule service. To my surprise, they had a tech onsite within 2 hours (in August!). Seth (the technician who responded to the call) was very friendly and professional, he resolved the issue, AND he taught me a lot about things I can do myself to prevent future issues...which I really appreciated. He also made a few suggestions for follow up services to avoid future issues and to improve the efficiency of my appliance. But he did so in a way that wasn't pushy, so it felt more like getting good advice from a friend, rather than a sales pitch from someone trying to get more business. I also loved Amanda, who took my initial call and sent me a copy of the warranty I lost. She provided excellent customer service today and is always so upbeat and friendly. So overall, I had an EXCELLENT experience with Fusion. And I plan to take advantage of the 'Fusion Family Plan' for future maintenance because of how awesome their employees are!!! Ross, Zach and Mike arrived punctually at the time scheduled. They explained what they were going to do before they started the work, confirming that we were on the same page. I really appreciated that. Fusion removed the blown-in insulation from my attic. My reason for removing and replacing the insulation was because I was told by my exterminator that rodents (mice) had been living there in the attic and I needed to remove and replace the insulation. Ross, Zach and Mike removed the insulation from my attic using an insulation vacuum. I was amazed at how many bags they removed. The bags were about 7ft tall and 5ft in diameter. They were some very large bags. I was told that they weighed around 300-400lbs per bag. They removed about 8 bags. I would not have expected that there was that much insulation in my attic. I called Fusion to have them remove a mini split from my home. I was impressed with the entire process from booking through the completion of the work. I am used to having to call contractors multiple times because, in my experience, they tend to be unresponsive. However, Fusion followed up quickly and without my prompting. Our hero's! After having "contractor A " complete a faulty install in January of 2014 and not showing up again after the 1st year of maintenance, " contractor B"took over and spent the next two years trying to fix everything that was not the problem, but leaving the broken damper in place that was causing the problem, then "contractor B " decided our unit was not fixable and basically that it was time to buy another new system. That's when we called Fusion. They came out told us it was repairable and made some other excellent suggestions. Two days later it is completely fixed and is now performing better than it has since installed. You can actually feel warm air!! Our home is so much more comfortable than it's been in years and they were neat and very well organized and for what they accomplished very reasonably priced. Used another company before Fusion not going to name any names but they love to give back not really..repeatedly had the other company come out to repair my air-conditioning which was never fixed properly!! After almost a year and three ceilings later I decided to go with fusion they did such an amazing job. They added tons of safety precautions into my air-conditioning to make sure that it never overflowed and leaked again also insulated my attic and have been exact on calling me to schedule routine maintenance never missing a beat! They guys were so professional and careful. They had drop clothes in places that I am sure their boots never touched. They asked about opening doors and were sure not to let out the cats. I researched nine AC companies and innumerable systems over three months before selecting Fusion. What impressed me about their company was the owner Ben met me personally to discuss my requirements and provided a number of good options. He didn't try to oversell me like some companies or push one brand over another, but he did explain the benefits and detractors of some brands and models. Ben was candid about how to save me money, provided economical reasons to make good choices, and was explicit about the quality of service I should expect during and after installation. I found his prices were better than any of the competitors I reviewed and he included 2 years of no-cost maintenance/service on both my new Bryant systems. After installation, he declined final 50% payment until I received the warranty package from his office which arrived only a couple days later. I am very pleased with the sale and installation experience with Fusion and highly recommend them.read more

Andrew and Alex insulated my garage walls. The house is 20 years old and they were able to come in, insulate the voids completely. The space maintains temperature now making it usable for workshop activites. I live in an active Naval jet training area and this helped with the sound. Andrew and Alex showed up on time did a great job and cleaned up well. They even cleaned up my rock bed that had some insulation in it. The entire process was about 4 hours. Spoke with Amanda, she was helpful and called periodically to let me know technician was on the way. She was very polite. Technician showed up, Blake, and was also very professional and seemed to be honest about work needed and advised. Very happy with this company, even though we didn't accept any work at the moment for our unit.read more

Ben Waldron's team showed up on time as we discussed, and got right to work. These fellows were very pleasant and professional throughout the day. Ross and Axel proceeded to install insulation in my approximately. 400 sq. ft. room over the garage. Dom and Antwan started work on the mini split system. They all finished the job by the end of the day. They cleaned up their things before they left and made me a very satisfied customer. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and crew to anyone looking to have similar work done. The staff is great, very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Michael was willing to take the time to teach me about our systems and answer any of my questions.Update 7/22/19: our AC fan motor decided to die during the heat wave this weekend. Ben came out promptly on Saturday, diagnosed the problem and then we decided to wait til Monday to have them install it. Amanda called and kept us up to date and when Ross came out on Monday he was able to fix the problem. As always Ross, Ben and Amanda were courteous, friendly and professional.read more

You'll never find a better company. I have been a customer for going on four years. Fusion is one of a few companies left who cares about you - the customer. Their values, ethics and morals are reflected in their customer service, quality work and equipment, and trustworthy employees and owners. I have had at separate times an entire HVAC unit and Mini Split installed by Fusion. I have kept a maintenance contract with them for all my equipment regardless if they installed it or not and they lend the same care across the board. Their business model will gain them wide recognition and grow their company. Fusion's response time hands down beats any competitor in the area. Yesterday I identified an issue with a unit, Blake showed up two hours later with a smile. He did a thorough inspection, showed me the problem(s) and with-in minutes we had a plan. Today, first thing this morning Dom and Antwan showed up with smiles and a new unit. They worked professionally, efficiently and carefully. Dom and Antwan respected my home and other outdoor equipment. They took care of the furnace components, installed a new thermostat, replaced a unit, pad and connector box. It only took them three hours. Amazing efficiency! Thanks Fusion, I'll be a customer of life.read more

Wonderful company, they simply are the best. They installed complete HVAC system, foam insulation in the attic, and provide maintenance on two zoned system. We were very satisfy with the service that was provided to us by Fusion Heating and Air Condition on 23May19. We have 2 mini splitters in our garage. We were having a problem with setting the temperature with the remote control. The technician(Blake Davis) that came out was very friendly and knowledgable. He showed us how to set the control and gave us tips on how to extend the lifetime of our unit. While here, we purchase a servicing contract which is well worth it. Twice a year, the company will send technicians out to clean the unit, service it, etc...We purchased these units from Fusion Heating, Air Condition, & Insulation, and we are extremely happy with them.read more

Ben came out and priced additional mini split unit. His price was comparable with others but because his company is a diamond installer for Mitsubishi went with him. I already had a mini split unit that was not working properly and Ben said his folks would check it when they did the install. Dom & Antwan came on the assigned day and time. The guys worked all day until nearly 5pm, first time I have had folks a full day. They installed the new unit and fixed my current unit. They were friendly, professional and cleaned up after their work. These guys were great. Highly recommend Fusion Heating, Dom & Antwan.read more

This company gets the highest possible rating from me. The owner of the company was very informative and knowledgeable regarding what type of air-conditioning unit I needed. The workmanship is excellent. I live at a condo and have 8 A/C units outside of my bedroom wall and my unit, by far, is the most quiet. Two of the units are less than one year old and they do not compare with the system that Fusion heating and air-conditioning installed for me. Ben, Dom and Antwan are the best!!! From start to finish it was just perfect. I manage a 44 year old highrise in Va Beach. Ben gave us a great option in replacing two of our 15 year old heating/air units. It is our first experience with the split systems. We installed one each in two different community rooms. They look great, were immediately noticed to be more efficient than the old units, and best of all, were less expensive than the big bulky units! After using a local company that came out multiple times from our home warranty, we decided to call Fusion to come look at our downstairs unit that was not cooling correctly. They came out to service both units and we found out that we would need to purchase a new unit for our downstairs. What we loved about the first service man that came out was that he was not pushing and trying to get us to buy a new unit, he explained what would happen if we kept having it serviced and we then decided we wanted to discuss options to purchase. From there, it was smooth sailing and the team at Fusion was quick and so helpful the entire process. Just a few days later, the 3 men that came out to install our new unit were professional, courteous and very nice. We now have a brand new Ruud unit that is running perfectly. About a week after we had it installed, we received a note in the mail thanking us and more information about our warranty. This is a top notch company with awesome customer service and I highly recommend them for any AC/heat/insulation work you may need.read more

Fusion did a fabulous job installing a ductless system in my 3rd floor bedroom. An extremely difficult space. A recommendation to move the indoor system ended up being the best decision for the sake of the space, so happy with the outcome. The outside turned out just as nice! Fusion did an absolutely stellar job on our 4-unit Mitsubishi mini-split system (one in the ceiling). We had seen the units in our travels all over the world and were impressed. We got quotes from 3 businesses, and though Ben's wasn't the lowest quote, we felt most confident in his experience, knowledge, and sheer professionalism. Shawn and the guys were dedicated, efficient, and very hardworking; they finished a day ahead, even working into the dark one day. They are polite, have a great work ethic and conscientious about keeping everything cleaned up along the way. One aspect that was fantastic: each day--as well as at the beginning of the job--Shawn explained what they would be doing that day. He also welcomed any and all questions; we could tell they not only really like their work but enjoy telling about how it all functions. They had a challenge working on our 70-year old house and were certainly up to it. We appreciated the follow-up visit to make sure everything was working great.
